Wordless Wednesday

Sailing with God!
Many thanks to Debbie Mitchell for sending me this awesome picture!.

  1. Wednesday, April 13th,
    "Morning, MaryLu."
Outstanding picture ... to say the least ! First off -- I love sailing (sailboats, tallships, whatever). Look at the magnificent array of clouds; and of course -- the Glorious Cross !
Yes, I'd go "Sailing with God" ... any time, and day !!! Heavenly !
    If only ... eh !
    Thanks for sharing, Debbie.
    Take care, and, God Bless,
    In Him, Brenda Hurley

  2. You are so welcome, Cap'n!
This is my desktop background. One day, we will all meet in the sky and sail with the Lord!
    Have a great day, everyone!

  3. Sailing on the ship to Heaven. Love this picture!

  4. Fantastic picture.....thanks for sharing it!!!

  5. Awesome picture! I'll meet you all aboard when we get there! :-)

  6. Hey, wouldn't it be cool if when we died, God sent a tall ship like this one, captained by angels, to take us to our new home?? I'm going to put in a request. LOL. Now, I'm getting excited about dying. :-)

  7. I Love It!

    The Gospel Of Grace

Words by Ray Boltz, Music by Greg Gilpin and Ray Boltz

They say in the harbor of heaven
Is a ship called the Gospel of Grace
A glorious ship, that once made a trip
Through the oceans of time and space
She followed a star to a stable
She carried the Child of the King
    And when she set sail
    So goes the tale
All of the angels would sing

The Gospel of Grace is sailing
What a glorious sight to behold
    Her heavenly banners are waving
Her sails are covered with gold
They say when a man looks upon her
The glory will shine on his face
    For therell never be
    A ship on the sea
Like the glorious Gospel of Grace

She sailed to the land of the lonely
To the meek and the lowly she came
    And each one she passed
From the first to the last
Would never again be the same
The voice of the Father had spoken
A heavenly sign had come down
    And everyone knew
    His promise was true
The heavens were filled with the sound

Then one day she sank to the bottom
At a place called the old rugged cross
But the Child of the King,
    Now her captain
Came sailing her back to the top
    And then as they sailed
    Off toward heaven
He called out, Get ready my friends
I must go away, but therell come a day
I promise youll see Me again

And the Gospel of Grace will be sailing
What a glorious sight well behold
    Her heavenly banners a waving
Shes coming to carry us home
For now we see through a glass darkly
But then we will see face to face
    And as we climb aboard
Well give thanks to the Lord
For His glorious Gospel of Grace
    And as we climb aboard
Well give thanks to the Lord
For His glorious Gospel of Grace

  8. Kirsten: I love that! Beautiful!
MaryLu: I am with you. I can't wait!

  9. Beautiful picture!

(Why does it say "ORINGINAL" at the top?)

  10. Oh Kirsten, I've never heard that song! It's beautiful and a perfect match for this picture. :-) Thank you so much for sharing it!

I think it says Original because the designer doesn't want anyone copying it for their own purposes.

  11. This is a picture of a cross stitch pattern that I found online. I think you are right, Cap'n, although anyone could just crop the word out of the picture. I like to think of it as describing God. "Original"

  12. @Debbie Mitchell
Yeah, that's a good way to look at it! I love it! Original...God...awesome!

  13. *gasps*

That is beyond amazing!! Now I want to see if I can use a tall ship that comes to the local marina and take the ship sailing off into the coulds!! That would be one exciting sailing trip! :D
