  1. I would just like to say that I am so glad that there is someone out there so strong in faith as you. My own faith is weak, no matter how hard I try. I pray about it all the time, and yet I keep desiring the faith God has placed in me to be stronger. But it is truly wonderful to see a Christian author out there who isn't afraid to share her amazing and utterly doubtless faith in God. Thank you for writing so boldly.

    1. Thank you so much! All of us start out with weak faith and believe me, there've been many times in my life that my faith has faltered, so don't give up. Don't worry about your faith... just keep pursuing God.. keep getting to know Him and your faith will grow as a result. Remember you only need a mustard seed of faith to do great things for God!

  3. I just finished reading Forsaken Dreams and Elusive Hope. You really left us hanging in suspense! I'm glad to find out via your website that Abandoned Memories will be out in July. I'm pleased to discover from the book blurb that the story will focus on Angeline and James; I'm wanting to know more about them and what they are hiding. Thanks for writing such wonderful books.

    1. Hi Pam! Thanks so much for your comment. Yes, I did leave you hanging, didn't I? (She grins deviously) The books in this series, more than any other of mine, should be read in sequence. I simply fell in love with all the wonderful characters, who were all brought to Brazil for a reason. Abandoned Memories will finally divulge that reason... plus yes, you'll find out about James and Angeline who seem to be reader favorites. :-) Thank you for taking the time to contact me. Blessings... MaryLu

  4. Hi MaryLu,

This is interesting in the sense that I am busy doing a text adventure that plays out during the medieval times. I happen to stumble upon your Blog by accident. I was actually looking for a picture of the captain's cabin back in the day and there it was - the perfect picture. Will it be possible for me to use this picture? What would it cost me?
Do you know if Cum Books stock your books? I will have a look in any case; since CUM Books is one of my favorite bookstores in South Africa.

    2. Thank you, MaryLu! Cum books is a Christian bookstore in South Africa where I live. I can see that you are a Christian and I am not sure if you're books are based on the Bible. Where to buy your books from?

    3. Yes JD, I am a Christian and yes, my books are based on the Bible. I would guess that the best place to find my books in South Africa is online on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or other online book stores. I'm not sure that my publisher distributes my paperbacks all the way to South Africa.. Thank you for your interest. Blessings... M.L.

  6. LOOOOVED The Ransom (even the reason for that title), please write more books MaryLu!!!! Also love your blog posts, your writing is just so precious :) Posted my comments for The Ransom and can't get enough! also, I kept thinking of the blog posts you posted about the characters while reading this....Chris Hemsworth was the PERFECT choice for The Pirate Earl and that was the person I thought of when I read it :) I decided Maggie Grace would be the perfect Juliana. I finished reading it two nights ago and still thinking of what a great story it is!! Please keep writing what's on your heart and thank you for giving us such great books filled with adventure, romance, faith, and action :) I'm putting everywhere (my blog, amazon, cbd, facebook) how much I loved your book and it's easily a must read for 2014! Any plans to make these two books into ebooks in the near future?

  9. Hello. I just finished all of the books in the Charles Towne Bell Series and I have to say that I enjoyed them immensely. My favorite was The Blue Enchantress (I read that one first because I didn't know it was a series). The Red Siren and The Raven Saint tied right behind it, because I couldn't pick between the two. I haven't read such a good book (or an entire series) in so long. The Blue Enchantress kept me up past my bedtime because I couldn't go to sleep without finishing it. I've written reviews on my blog for them (two not yet published), and I look forward to adding more of your good books onto my summer reading list.

  16. I am an 18 year old writer of stories (biblical, western, and yes, pirate themed) and biblical plays ... how did you first get published? Was it really hard and time consuming? Do you have any advice for a young author fresh out of homeschool? And also, I am a huge fan but I don't think I need to tell you how huge! :) You and Julie Klassen are hands down my favorite authors. My two favorite books are Veil of Pearls and The Restitution, which one day I would love to buy and get signed. And maybe it's just me, but I think some fantastic Christian filmmakers should bring the Legacy of the King's Pirates to life! Anywho, keep the amazing books coming! :)

  18. I looked at your Coming Soon page, and when I saw that there would be a fifth King's Pirates book, I was so shocked and excited, I made this half-strangled gasp that made my cat flee the room. I got the Redemption for my birthday (or was it Christmas?) several years ago, and fell in love with it. It is still one of my all-time favorite books ever, and I've loved every book that followed. Actually, I just got the Ransom for Christmas THIS year, and am waiting to read it (I can read it at any time, I'm just savoring it's existence, because once I start it . . . it'll be done in like . . . a day). I'm definitely adding The Reckoning to my MUST BUY list. And time travel? I see that girl in the t-shirt on the cover. I'm guessing a modern-day girl goes back in time? Well, whatever the time-travel aspect may be, I know it will be EPIC AND AMAZING AND I'LL LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. *cough* calming down now.

ANYWAY, the point of this rambling little comment is just to say; you're one of my favorite authors, your books are so amazing, please keep writing always! :D hehehe.

I just finished reading "The Reckoning" this morning:) I am a very avid reader & either I am reading something to do with Homeschooling, a classic, or faith based inspirational books. Yet, as I was reading your newest novel, I was reminded of your gift. Thank you for including our Lord & His message in your works. I have missed this being present in some of the recent "Christian novels" I've read. Thank you:) I remember having finished completing CS Forester's Horatio Hornblower series& being frustrated with having a great naval hero but was so immoral, when I happened upon your first novel.....I have hooked ever since then:) I really hope there will be another novel in "The Legacy of the King's Pirates". I have to admit, my all time favorite has been "The Restitution".....I love Kent's & Isabelle's story:) Hope & pray you have a wonderful week & safe 4th of July! 1. Hi Angela! Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed The Reckoning! Unfortunately, I have heard that many Christian publishers are asking authors to "tone down" the spiritual content of their books. That is another reason I'm glad I'm on my own. I know I wouldn't be able to do that. The world needs to hear the good news more than ever today. I do plan on more books in the series! I may take a break and write something else and then come back. I haven't decided yet. I pray you are having a great 4th! Blessings to you too! MaryLu

BTW - I'm a writer too (well, the jury's still out on that to be honest), and I have a question for you: My current medium is screenwriting, and I wondered…out of all your stories, which one do you think would make the best movie? I love books, and some stories are just better on the page, but is there any one in particular that you'd like to see unfold on a screen…?

    1. Hmm. That's a touch question. I'd love to see all my books on the screen, but I guess if I had to choose, it would be my pirate series. What I love the most is how you bring the angels to life. Seriously, when Alexia, Ronar, Jarin, and Damien were facing Sir DeGay and his knights, the army of angels protecting them gave me goosebumps (in a good way)!
And when Alexia was tied to the stake, to be burned as a witch, I felt such agony for her and found myself praying for deliverance for her. This story just drew me in.

  43. Hi Mrs. Tyndall, I hope this is an okay place to post this question but recently I entered a contest you were participating in hosted by book sweeps. And I was wondering if the winner had already been announced or if they would be picked later on. Thanks.

    1. Sorry, I don't believe I was part of a book sweeps contest. I recently participated in a Christian Fiction Scavenger Hunt, but that's the only contest I have joined. If you recall the date you are referring to, when the contest was run, I'll check my past posts just to make sure. Sorry about the confusion.

    2. So strange. I don't own an email address like that. And I wasn't involved in any contest on that date. Yes. I'd love to see the email message if you can forward it to marylu_tyndall@yahoo.com ? I'm thinking someone is impersonating me. LOL Though I have no idea why. Thanks

  44. I have just discover Cross and Cutlass. I love the Articles on Christianity. I have been reading as much as I can find on rapture 2017. I find this information very important. I just find it amazing that Sept 23 2017 constellations matches Revelation 12. I hope you don't mind if I share the website and the information I am finding on Cross and Cutlass. I just love this website. I have been posting Cross and Cutlass on my Facebook page. Thank you for sharing your wonderful Gift of God. God Bless You, Bonnie B

  45. Hi Miss MaryLu! Couldn't resist putting a bid in for the next Legacy of the King's Pirates story. I'm sure that Kent, Alex and Rowan (along with their ladies, of course) are just chomping at the bit to enter the fray with Captain Merrick and Lady Hyde to rescue the young Reena. Could there maybe be a Restoration or some other such appropriately titled "R" book forthcoming in the series? Please? Pretty please with sugar on top?

    ;-)

Reena may be too caught up in trying to track down Freddy but I'm sure that her mother is worried about her and wants to know what is going on...as do I!

    1. Hi Christy!! You put a huge smile on my face. Thank you for your suggestion! As soon as I finish my medieval series, I definitely have Reena and Freddy's story planned!! I promise. I already have a first scene playing around in my head so that's when I know it will be next. Thanks so much for making my day. I guarantee you will see more of the King's Pirates! ;-)

  47. I have just finished the Legacy of the King's Pirates series and I am somewhat confused. At the end of The Reckoning there is random mention of a Charity who killed her husband. Is this going into another book that I don't know about?
BTW I love your pirate stories not just the King's Pirates but also the Charles Town Belles. Nothing better than strong female characters and the gorgeous men who love them. And your underlying message is awesome as well thank you for sharing your stories.

    1. Hi there! Yes! I released a novel after The Reckoning called Charity's Cross. It is sort of a tie-in or cross-between book between my Legacy of the King's Pirates series and my Charles Towne Belles series. The hero in Charity's Cross is Morgan and Rowan's son, Elias.. and the heroine is the 4th sister from my Charles Towne Belles series. I'm so glad you are enjoying my books! Thank you and God Bless!

  48. Marylu, thanks for your article on the Rapture, it has me thinking about what you wrote and the Biblical Scripture that you mention more deeply. I would like to know more about your testimony and how you relate to the Gospel. Thank you again and God Bless!

    1. Thank you for checking out my Rapture article. You reminded me that I need to write out my testimony in a bit more detail and how the Lord brought me to the path I'm currently on. I promise to do that. Let me simply say that I believe in the complete authority of the Bible and in the truth of the Gospel message. Jesus is the Son of God and the Savior of mankind. He is the ONLY way to the Father. I have been a Presbyterian, a baptist, and a Pentecostal. I studied mostly under Derek Prince, having attending his church when I was young. I wandered from the faith for many years and returned in my 30's due to the truth of prophecy. Anyway, I'll stop there. Please feel free to write me at marylu_tyndall@yahoo.com with any questions you have.

  49. Mrs. Tyndall,
I will, with my greatest effort, try to keep this directly to the point. But first, let me say that I'm 72 years old and am combating both mental and physical challenges (100% Disabled Vet)...in addition to spiritual challenges as well. Having just discovered you, I don't believe I've ever read any of your work. It's most obvious that many others have and that in itself is inspiring!
Other than a couple of Christian articles and columns, I've not published much at all. Oh I've attended Jerry Jenkins’ seminars, both on-line and one out in Denver. I attended a couple of writer's conferences and was told things like, "You get this finished and I want to be first to see your proposal (Tyndall House)" or “I'll publish this, just clean it up and reduce it a page to a page and a half and I'll print it (don't recall the Christian magazine...but one of the better known).
But over the past 40 years, it’s been sporadic attempts ending mostly in temporary opportunities, otherwise it was “smoke and fire” as I crashed to the ground! That’s as far as I’ll ask you to journey with me down my version of “memory lane.” Given the background I’ve learned from your site, there are a few similar life experiences that we’ve both had while traveling down the “path” leading to our eternal “Home.”
Okay, now to my point (finally): We’re both believer’s in and thus, devout children of God! We’ve both been saved by Jesus and brought forward, through His Holy Spirit into the reality of this worldly life. As we can both attest to, life in general and certainly the life of a Christian writer, can go from the top of the world to the floor of the basement at any point in our journey down life’s path. You, by all indications, are a devout and successful Christian writer focused on your reader’s journey to and with Jesus into His Eternity. Would you be willing to bring hope, motivation and emotional support to a fellow servant of God Almighty in his effort to assist and lead others to and into The Love of Jesus Christ?!!
Mrs. Tyndall, please at least take 5 minutes and go to www.BlessedBooks.com and look around, but most importantly, read the “Author’s Bio” and the summary for “Why God?” And if you have a moment or two more, look at a few of the posts. You might notice the earliest one was written in 2008.
Essentially, Mrs. Tyndall, I feel I need not only “writer tips,” but, as well, someone within this world, a Christian writer, that I can commit to!! More importantly, I need this Christian friend and writer to hold my “feet to the fire!” It would be a true Blessing to have someone I’m at least familiar with and respect to tell me “like it is!!” My wife has labored under my “I’ve got to finish ‘the book!!’” complaints for so long, I can’t believe that she still lets me hang around (August 1st will be 47 years).
For the most part Mrs. Tyndall, my excuses for not consistently writing four or five days each week are my dementia, arthritis in my hands and fatigue syndrome, otherwise, I’m ready to “rock and roll!” Yes, there are some other medical and health issues, but these three are dominant…but, as of yet, not totally or completely debilitating!!
In closing, over the years, beginning in Vietnam, I’ve had some life expanding spiritual “visions” as well as two-way spiritual conversations with God, Jesus and The Holy Spirit. I won’t take you into that unless at some point-in-time you desire to hear the descriptions of both the visions/conversations and, of course, verifications of their reality.
Mrs. Tyndall, I want to truly thank you for at least reaching this point of my message!! My email is edd@BlessedBooks.com. Even if your response is a simple “no,” please let me know if there is anything that can be worked out and what the parameters might be. Obviously, I’m blown away by your website and plan to visit as regularly as I can!! No matter your answer Mrs. Tyndall, I will always consider you my sister in Christ!! God’s Blessings always upon you and your family!!!
    In His Love,
    edd

  50. Are you interested in writing a final book about Daniel? I really wanted to read about how he changed his speech after the rapture, how he would not turn down an opportunity to minister in DC, how he survived in the world during the Great Tribulation, and how he would rejoin his family in Heaven. When Angels Cry taught me so much. I fell in love with characters and would love to read more about Daniel, Thomas, and the Great Tribulation.

    1. Hi C.M.! You aren't the first one to ask about a sequel to When Angels Cry. I hadn't planned on it as I was writing the book, but I may very well put a 2nd story in the works. :-) Thank you for your comment and I'm so glad you were blessed by Angelica and Daniel's story. :-)

  51. Hello,

I am contacting about an injustice that Amazon decided to commit without the consent of authors.

About a month ago, Amazon raised the price of audio books from the price of $1.99 to $7.49, an audio book.

Audible listeners and book readers are up in arms against it.

What I am requesting is that authors contact amazon and make a complaint about this injustice.

Some authors are talking about pulling out all of their books, and stop writing completely.

There are so many audio books out there that are not clean, Christian books which I have found to be very disappointing.

I recommend authors to release good audio books much of the time.
I received this information from a very reliable source, which I choose to remain anonymous.
If you desire to assist making a difference.

Then please help by contacting Amazon so that we can.

I am spreading the word to many authors who are being affected by this injustice.

Thank you for your time, and your assistance!
    Blessings in Christ.
    Johanna Mitchell.

I love your books! on audio as well!

  52. Hello:

I'm fascinated by the new French President. He's 39, dashing, married to a woman 25 years his senior (a drama teacher from his formal education), he's a Rothschild banker by occupation, says he wants to rule like a Roman God (he states his presidency will be "Jupiterian"), and his thought processes are "too complex" to be understood by the press. This man has some ego. I'm not trying to pin the tail on the Man-of-Lawlessness here, yet it's super difficult not to with respect to Daniel 9-25:27.

A reviving Roman Empire in the form of the EU? Strasbourg, France with a Tower of Babel for the EU Parliament Building? A Catholic Church headed by a Pope who is very ecumenical and works tirelessly behind the scenes for a one-world religion and who utters blasphemies every time he opens his mouth. Now the EU is going to have a "defence force?" CERN? I'm not going into CERN at the moment as that's a whole other ball of creepy-wax.

    We fly soon...

    1. Greetings Look up! Macron is definitely one person I've been looking at as well who might fit the AC role. His ego is astounding, and he's in the perfect position. I also tend to believe the Pope may fit the role of false prophet. However, I'm unsure whether the revived Roman Empire will be the western half or the eastern involving the Islamic states. Time will tell. And CERN. Yes! I have hesitated to post about it because what they are doing is so unbelievable... and so demonic. As you put it very well.. .another ball of creepy-wax. Something we never hear about in the news... amazing since they are trying to break through the fabric of time and space and open a portal to another dimension.. and they aren't even trying to hide it... Yes, indeed... Look up, Lookup! We fly soon. Thank God!

  54. One of my students in my school of spiritual warfare posted your article "My Experience with Demons" on our Facebook page. I found it was quite interesting. This led to me check out the rest of your blog. Great stuff! As I read through it, I found myself saying, "I like this lady!"

It's always refreshing to me when I run across a Christian who is eagerly looking for the return of Christ. It's absolutely amazing to me that Christians can serve the Lord and sing about Him, with tears coursing down their cheeks. Yet display no desire to actually see Him in the flesh. Isn't this what it's all about? "Thy kingdom come..." Uh oh, the soapbox. I'm jumping off!

Anyway, keep up the good work. Keep writing books and articles and researching and exhorting and all that you do. "Therefore, my beloved brethren [Mary], be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord" (1 Corinthians 15:58).

    Blessings to you, dear sister!

    1. Hi Eric!! Thank you for your comment. It brought a smile to my face this morning. Yes, I've been interested in Biblical prophecy, especially as it pertains to the rapture and 2nd coming, for years. Yet it seems that the closer we get and the more I tell others about it, the more I get mocked. I rarely meet another Christian who is longing for the Lord's coming. As you said, it doesn't make sense! I just checked out your books and they look right up my alley. I ordered Bones of Fire! God Bless you, Eric. Keep up the good work until Jesus comes to get us. :-)
