Beautiful! Are those flags of the Netherlands? I bet this painting has a lot of history behind it. Wow, listen to me, talking about history! You've really influenced my interest in history, MaryLu, and I appreciate it. I used to loathe history, but now I find myself intrigued by it. I guess you're never to old to learn. LOL
Hmm.. yes they do look like Dutch flags. I hadn't noticed. Debbie, you no doubt loathed history because it wasn't taught to you in the right way. It's not about memorizing facts and dates.. it's about ideas and adventure and freedom and God's plan for this age. Anyway.. yes, Brenda, I agree. Let's dive into the painting for a swashbuckling good time! I wish... as I'm stuck in my writing room trying to write a grueling scene about a duel with pistols. I need some sea air!
Aye, Aye! *anchors away* :DI have to agree with Brenda. It would make a beautiful/wonderful book cover!! Would make me wonder what kind of action would happen in the story! I can so much imagine the endless possiblities! Definitly thanks for sharing this picture! ;)
I agree...it would make a great book cover! I don't comment much, but do look forward to your blog and comments by Brenda, Debbie and others.......y'all make my day!!!
I never thought about a book cover, but yes, I see your point. There's lots of action going on here that could spin in a dozen different plot directions! Good eyes, Ladies. ;-) And Hi Jackie! Thanks for dropping in!
